CEVO has announced that it will pay out $125,000 to the teams competing in its professional division in Season 9.
Based on the feedback of top teams in Europe and North America, CEVO has revealed a major overhaul to the system used at its highest tier of Counter-Strike.
Instead of having a traditional league format, CEVO will host four 16-team single-elimination brackets in Europe and in North America to determine the four sides who will represent each region at the season finals.

A total of $125,000 will be on offer at the event, which represents a considerable boost from the $100,000 prize pool from last season's finals.
For the first time in the history of CEVO-P, the season finals will take place outside of North America, more specifically at the Gfinity Arena from April 28 to May 1, through a partnership with the British company.
"We couldn’t be more excited to be joining forces with our friends at Gfinity to improve upon our longstanding CS:GO seasonal event tradition," CEVO VP of Operations Chris Pipher said in a statement.
"With Gfinity’s state of the art arena and live event production expertise, I can say with confidence that this will be our best CS:GO season to date."
The CEVO finals will kick off with a double-elimination, best-of-three group stage, followed by a single-elimination, best-of-five bracket with the top teams from each group. More information about the event will be released soon on Gfinity's website.
